The Fairline Parkway
A Memory of Open Spaces

Big Diction - My first inclination was to make a Jeff Tweedy comparison, although the music is much more soothing than Tweedy’s poignancy would ever allow, although, the album does have some of the subdued energy of calmer Wilco songs - always on the edge of taking off but keeping it together, leaving the songs all the better for it.

One Word Triggers - ...then there’s ‘The Great Plain’ - an instrumental - I defy you listen to this and not conjure up images of cowboys riding gently across the prairie into a brilliant sunset.

Pasta Primavera - Mesmerizing instruments drift behind the drums and vocals…sending me down a stream of light indie pop that I’ll never return from…nor do I want to…until it ends.

Whale in a cubicle - The acoustically driven tracks and airy vocals are laced with just the right amount of production - some strings here, some horns there - and the result is a near perfect lazy sunday summer record.
